your hips with intricate precision and embody the soul of Arabic
rhythms; learn the techniques and small choreo taught by Amira,
while Tiziano accompanies her with the drum, and drill the combos. A
must for any dancer, Cabaret or Tribal!!!!!

A brand-new original fusion choreography….
This
dance has been especially made for you by Sharon encouraging each
dancer to learn to seamlessly blend themes within a single
choreography. Combining, Tribal belly dance, modern, and Raqs
Sharqi, the choreography is designed to challenge with complex
layering, smooth gliding moves, some familiar favorites, and some
unexpected twists. Dance experience is recommended. Please dress
like you are going to a yoga class.

Show was at the
Mary T Christian Auditorium (TNCC) in Newport News.
The doors to the lobby opened at 6:00pm. There was a
marketplace where you were able to shop for your Mother’s Day gift! We
had the
Beledi Boutique,
Khalima and the Bedouin Princess,
jewelry by Aela, & South American jewelry! We also had a
German style café, sweets and the renowned
psychic
Cristina Bliss!
Everyone was treated to the smooth guitar and
even smoother voice of
Lamond.

Eating- A Dirty Dance for the Squeaky Clean Dancer….
This is an
choreography designed for the experienced beginner to high
intermediate dancer. Class will begin with a yoga warm-up and drill
session, then we will learn this full-length three minute
choreography. Emphasis on gooey undulations and circles, turning
technique, weight shifting/balancing, shoulder isolation and body
ticking. Please dress for yoga and bring a notebook and pen.
4:30pm - 6:30pm -
Tiziano from Switzerland
Rhythms
for drummers and dancers
(open level) Excellent for both cabaret and tribal dancers however
it is open to everyone
(husbands, boyfriends significant others). If you want to learn how to
play the drum or just to learn the Arabic rhythms and their
patterns, you will love this workshop. Learn how to identify when new beats are being played, so
Tribal dancers know how to probably cue and improvidence with one
another. Please bring your own drum, thank you.

About the
instructors:

Howeida….
is a belly dance Tribal and Cabaret pioneers in her area. She teaches weekly
classes for all age groups, and is the highlight of many German dance festivals.
Her sparkling personality will inspire you! She is a fabulous cabaret and tribal
dancer, and also a fantastic Bollywood dancer. It is her first time in the US

Amira… is a well trained
cabaret dancer, originally from France, but has her own school
in Switzerland. (www.taksim.ch)
she is a certified Jom instructor, as well
as ESTODA, which are very pristine certifications to have
in Europe. She hosts many events with Superstars of the belly
dance world, and she is originator of the first Tribal Fusion
dancer certificate. Her love for
the art form, her feeling for music and rhythm make her your
fist choice for an instructor.

Sabua… is
one of the most featured dancers in Germany for Arabic events. She is the master
for live music improvisation, and always a highlight. In her own studio she
teaches weekly classes, as well as WS. Mostly cabaret dancer, Sabua embodies the
music she hears, becoming a visual image of the rhythms. Very versatile in her

Tiziano Ronchetti
(Switzerland)
is a master student of Isaam from the Belly Dance Superstars. He has drummed for
many stars of Belly dance and tribal, and has since published 2 CDs. His
teaching is precise, easy to understand and follow. His natural talent as a
teacher shines through in his workshops.

Sharon Kihara…..A
seasoned performer, inspirational teacher and exotic personality, Sharon Kihara
is known the world over for her avante garde and slightly eccentric artistry, as
well as for her skillful, graceful and powerful technique. Sharon has joined the Belly dance Superstars, beginning in early 2004, and has
been touring internationally full-time ever since. She has taught and performed
in over 30 countries to date with many more on the horizon, has shared stages
with acts such as Missy Elliot, the Black Eyed Peas, and co-headlined with the
BDSS on the main stage at the prestigious Glastonbury festival, alongside the
White Stripes and Coldplay. She has appeared on television and been featured in
radio and media in countless countries, as well as several BDSS DVDs, including
her very own Tribal Fusion instructional DVD, which debuts Fall 2007. Sharon is interested in dance kinetics, and therapeutics and is constantly
searching for new ideas and information. Sharon enjoys fusing the healing arts
with the performing arts, and more than anything loves bearing witness to the
beautiful, transcendental changes that occur in the lives of those who embark on
