After several travels to the Middle East to study classical
Egyptian and folkloric dances she discovered modern belly
dance and the fusion style. 4 years ago, Chaaya decided to
add Bollywood to her repertoire only to discover from her
family that she had Indian origins herself.

Angela Bellamy-Knowles
Angela Bellamy-Knowles has been creating fine beaded jewelry
for almost 15 years. She has a unique talent for eye-catching
design and a flair for unusual color and material combinations.
Her attention to detail has won her awards for beautiful,
well-crafted items.
As a novice belly dancer studying with Aela Badiana since 2010,
she saw the opportunity to ‘bring the bling’ to her belly
dancing sisters by embellishing costumes with some unique custom
touches, and is delighted to share these talents with you.
She will teach right-angle weave and tubular peyote,
incorporating sparkly Swarovski crystals. With these two
versatile stitches, you can create your own jewelry or sew it on
to your costumes, taking a $100 costume and making it look like
you spent $1,000!
